Why is Kate Winslet...?

I was reading Time Magazine, and it said that Kate Winslet is the one non-porn actress to have gone naked in her movies.

She's a mother, so why is she doing that...i mean wouldnt kinda disturb her children in their later years.

Many people have gotten oscars without going naked

I think she is the kind of actress who tries very hard to make her role believable---if it makes sense in the plot, then she goes for it.

She can just keep it from her kids until they are old enough to handle it.

She's ACTING--it's not like it's gratuitous flashing--what Britney Spears did (twice!) last week is MUCH worse!

Acting to her is an art. She is comfortable with her body. She will do whatever she needs to do to be that character. And if it's getting naked... then let it be. If you watch her movies, it's not like Demi Moore in The Scarlett Letter. There was no nudity in the book, she just wanted to be naked. Kate Winslet does it because it's what the script calls for.

Her children will understand that she's doing it as a job. Most parents that are actresses have that problem if they do end up being nude.

I think she's a great actress. Most kids have seen their parents naked at some point or another anyway so wheres the huge trauma in seeing it on a film that their mum was so highly praised for. I don't think there's anything wrong with going naked in a film as long as its done tastefully and hers were
