goldfish don't need heated water . They like room temperature water as long as the room is not a cold one. Temperatures that are comfortable for you are good for them. Usually tropical fish are kept around 80 degrees. 76 d is probably not going to kill the GF but is too cold for the Tropicals. The GF's will do better around 65-72 degrees.

Dollars, NO. Please don't go telling people this stuff when it's wrong.
Do NOT keep goldfish and tropical fish together, goldfish are coldwater fish and tropical fish are warm water fish.. It's a big difference. Goldfish can NOT live in warm water, believe me I know this from experience - they will get sick very, very easily and die.
Plus, goldfish need 10 gallons per fish for smaller ones, more for bigger ones.

No, you can't keep tropical fish and goldfish together, because goldfish are coldwater fish. If you keep them together, they will all be unhappy.
Keep your goldfish in a tank at 70F, and keep your tropicals as 78F.
Remember, Fancy Goldfish need 20 gallons EACH. Other goldfish types need to live in huge tanks or ponds.

Yes you can . Goldfish can live in any temperature of water and they are not aggessive to other fish.I keep goldfish outside in a horse tank all winter in iowa where it gets below 0. However if you put them in with tropicals you might have trouble with your water being cloudy .
