Yes they are but they decompost quicker when they have been broken up a bit

We have been composting them for years now and they certainly break down quite easily so I would certainly say they are suitable.We also put Ground coffee on the compost heap.

i use tea bags and coffee grinds in my compost pile. never heard of synthetic.

well when we got our compost bin the leaflet that came with it said that tea bags are ok to put in it.

yep,and try cold tea on house plants[without milk and sugar]also try the water of a boiled eggs for house plants.

Yes, they are also good, (temporarily) around the base of shrubs.
