I belong to the San Diego Turtle and Tortoise Society. Great resource.
If you don't live in Southern California, you may want to actually contact them about care in your area.

You mean decorating it?
Reptiles Magazine sometimes runs good photos of attractive tanks, but most of the good care sites don't spend a lot of time with decor. After all, most decor is either ignored or eaten by turtles and tends to get in the way of good care.
Just FYI- your 55 gallon tank, 1/2 filled, would be appropriate for about a 3" turtle. The rule of thumb is to allow 10 gallons of swimming space per inch of turtle.
