He is 30 and is about to break every TE record in the books. 9 staight seasons with over 50 catches. He is also an incredible blocker. Is he the best ever in your opinion?

He was the best. He is one of the all time best, mostly because of past seasons. Now, hes just too old. He doesn't even compare to TE like Gates now. Overall though, he is one of the best.

He is a very talented tight end, but not the best. There are still other tight ends who are better in my opinion. Kellen Winslow Sr., ect. Right now? I would say maybe. XD Gates is still the best tight end in the game right now.

No I do not think he is the best that ever played but he is one of the best among active players. maybe the best TE to ever play the game would be Shannon Sharpe.

I'd have to say no. He is one of the best and will probably be in the Hall of Fame someday, but he is not as good as Kellen Winslow Sr. was.

He is certainly one of the most productive, but I am not ready to crown him the best ever. Give him a few more years of putting up stats like he has I'll pop the champagne bottle when we award him the title!!!
