I enjoy the BCS and all the controversy and excitement it creates....

But why not make the top 4 teams go into a playoff?

Every year it seems like 3 or 4 teams have true claims as to being in the national title.

This would make it so they all had a shot, and only way you could complain is if your a #5. For the most part though, #4 would be a luxury to get in anyway so they can lose to #1.

You could do it doing bowl week, or you could even have them play the 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 games the week after the BCS selection show (1 and 2 have home field), setting up the championship game in January (While the losers would still get one of the other major bowls).

You can say its not fair that 2 gets homefield over 3 but hey at least 3 gets a chance (and most ppl use that argument against Michigan as to why they should not get a rematch).

This is so true. There needs to be a playoff game. Michigan just got screwed over because Florida beat a number eight ranked team when Michigan almost beat a number one ranked team. Lets have a playoff so that way Michigan can prove that they can beat the number 2 and 3 spot teams and go to a rematch. Im not going to watch the game because it's going to be a waste of a tv program that should not be on the air. OSU has to fly all the way out to Arizionia just to get the championship stuff. Why not just give it to them without making them go all the way out there?

dude Champions! if you had the top 4 right now you still would have MIchigan and Ohio St.

have it with the Champions of the major conferences
ACC- Wake Forest
Big East- Louisville
Big 10- Ohio St.
Big 12- Oklahoma
SEC- Florida
Pac-10- USC (unfortunately they did win the Pac-10)

Take the top 2 teams based on records give them a bye
then just battle it out until they have a championship game.

Although I have no prediction between them it sounds better this way

Actually, there's a growing movement for an 8 team playoff. Terry Bowden has written about it several times recently in his online columns, and Auburn coach Tuberville has said repeatedly that he thinks they should have a playoff system. I think it'll happen eventually, but it'll be a matter of convincing the people who control the money that it won't hurt the bottom line. Remember, college football is a big business.

They claim it would cost too much money--I say bullshit! The fair way to do it would be to have Florida play Michigan to see who gets OSU. The BCS is going to continue to be a joke and rank Florida #2!
