They wanted to end on a high note and move on to other things. The series went on for awhile and they didn't want to get the public tired of the series. Even though I loved the show and still watch the reruns I think it was the best time for it to come to an end.

Because it had been on ten years, running out of ideas for stories, Lisa Kudrow was 41, the others in their mid thirties. Supposed to be a story about twenty somethings and their struggles.

It's almost impossible for T.V. writers to write for a show for ten seasons. Eventually you will run out of ideas. Also the actors wanted to move onto bigger and better things. I mean look at Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry. They are probably two of the most recognized names in Hollywood right now.

Jennifer Anniston died in a freak bowling accident.

Mathew Perry was abducted by aliens, and then returned to become a top breakdancer.

Lisa Kudrow wanted to spend more time collecting rare cheeses.

I think they kind of ran out of story lines. Also, I think it was about time that they all grew up. It is one of my favorites in reruns, especially the older shows.
