No, but trying to wrap my head around what I've read, and since discussed and read more about, certainly does. If you read more than one newspaper, perhaps the odd magazine, and watch the news on local, national and foreign television channels, you might actually be well informed. Though this is not the same as being wise, it's a prerequisite. Reading books, studying and having regular discussions add to that. All that said, only the fool thinks himself wise, whereas the wise man knows he's a fool.

knowledge is king. Reading opens up new worlds and exercises the brain and that in itself may make us wiser.

if you mean studies, then we really become wiser. but in feeling, not much.
but yes when i read novels or some story books, cause they are not compulsary, they are not a headache, but still we read and so it makes me feel that i am wiser than others that i am readig a novel....

Depends on what I'm reading....reading UsWeekly or InTouch....no(but it may make me feel better!). Stuff for work like research on bootcamps or cognitive therapy, yes.
