I want to put a small iron railing inside my home by the entrance which also leads to a lower level. I feel a wood railing wood be too cumbersome. Can I do this? Dan Hines

I have an iron banister along five steps from my kitchen to den and have never had to do maintenance on it. Being it is out of the elements, like rain, freezing cold and extreme heat, it will be there for a long time. I think it gives the place a classy look too.

YES! They have a lot of different desings at the home store's. It's just outside railing, but it looks great! And is a lot less money then wood.
