SUBJECT=Calories

In the experiment i will burn foods such as peanuts and marsmellows and use a calorimeter to determine the calories in each of them.

i still don't know how to make a hypothesis.
((i was thinking about figuring out saying that the more sugar in a substance, the more calories there are, but i don't know how to calculate the amount of sugar in a substance without reading the label))

You're on the right track - keep going.

You already have a hypothesis: more sugar = more calories

You now have to test that hypothesis.

You are correct that you'll need to know how much sugar is in each. You'll probably want to burn equal weights of each food, and you can find out sugar content of various foods at the link below.

Your hypothesis sounds fine. Pick something that is made only of sugar, and then any calories you measure will be directly correlated to the amount of sugar. For example, different types of lollilops would be ideal, but unfortunately lollilops don't burn. Different size marshmellows?

A hypothesis just has to be a testable statement. An example: "the amount of heat produced by burning the foods in the calorimeter will correlate with their nutritional calories." Since that statement can be proven true or false it is an hypothesis.

P.S. - What's wrong with reading the label?

the main important element is once you're eating sodas, decrease them out thoroughly! Or drink them only each each so often. decrease out the junk nutrition. ingesting 6 small nutrition is extra useful than ingesting one vast meal with junk nutrition and stuff. swap up exercises so which you're physique would not plateau and get used to it. walk/run/jog then do some situps/pushups/crunches and turn up back to a minimum of a few thing else. stable success!
