In Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" could there have been a conspiracy arround the trial of Tom Robinson?
could mrs. dubose been involved...was she murdered? by atticus?

Its a deconstruction essay...needs to be creative!!

There was undoubtedly a conspiracy involved, but Nikee is right. The conspiracy lies squarely within the lines of racial attitudes of the era. I did suspect though, that the accusation of Tom Robinson was an attempt to cover up an incestuall pregnancy.

there could have been a conspiracy but in those times, he was black and the girl was white, so he would have been found guilty either way.

mrs. dubose died from quitting her morphine, so i dont think that atticus or anyone murdered her.

i don't believe that there was a conspiracy...in those times they were soo racist (hence the terms used about him) and he would have been found guilty either way. I don't think anyone would find it necessary to even try something like that. And about atticus...dude, he wouldn't hurt anyone! i really don't think that's an option
