A year or so ago, I found small tool boxes at WalMart that had translucent bottoms and colored tops. There were many colors including light blue, lavender, yellow, and aqua. I bought one of each color. It seems to me that they were about $9.00 each. I used them to keep specialty tools sepetated. One box is for soldering equipment and supplies and one is for electronic wiring tools and supplies. I am sure you can find the same or similar tool boxes at WalMart, Lowe's, or Home Depot.
Good luck with your search for your moms' present.

I found a great one at Sears. It's a blue heavy weight canvas (a bit like a duffle bag) with a hard bottom, zippered on top and comes with 15 tools. Tools are a bit smaller to fit women's hands and I love it. It's lightweight and cute, too. Better than the metal ones.

Maybe it would be easier to find a small aluminum one in red, strip the paint and do a personal design. It may take a bit more effort, but it'd be easier than trying to hunt something else down, plus it has the personal touch advantage.

You can have one custom painted, just like people are doing with their mail boxes. Just tell the person that is doing the job what you desire. I've seen lots of paintings on mail boxes here in Georgia.

...Hey here's and idea. Get that tool box wherever it is on sale. Then get a can of pink paint or ( fav color ) and spray paint it yourself !!!! I do stuff like that. Just make sure your follow directions and do not leave it outside past sundown.
( while drying)
Good luck.

i don't know of any womens tool boxes...but i'm sure craft stores and places like target have wooden baskets that are big enough for tools...i suggest that you buy one of those and personalize it with beads, paint, glitter, feathers, etc....and make it more feminine...and there you go!...a perfect Christmas present!...and you mother may appreciate it a little more too!
