Well in my family we found out about Santa Claus by watching the programs or going to the mall and seeing him my parents always remind us that Christmas is a very special time about remembering the birth not materialistic things I have a good balance of them I think its the little kids who are more into the Santa Claus idea since its such a comforting thing and as you get older you realize its true meaning of the holiday in my family always remeber the true meaning not the materialistic as for the PS3 I would not be that stupid to wait for some thing in line that could be still popular in 2 years plus cheaper =D

I make sure my kids know why we celebrate Christmas. On Christmas morning we have a Happy Birthday Jesus party. Yes they do get gifts and believe in Santa, but I tell them Santa works for Jesus. And the reason Santa brings gifts is because Jesus wants everyone who loves him to have gifts on his birthday because Jesus is so giving. I tell them that unlike on our birthday when we get gifts, Jesus like to give gifts on His birthday. I may sound crazy, but it keeps me from depriving them of Christmas joys without taking Jesus out of it.

you can't judge all or most Christians but what the few and uninformed do. I teach my children the meaning of Christmas every year and they have learned every day so far that it is not about Presents and Santa but the birth of our Savior. Those who put Santa Higher than God or Jesus are very stupid!!!!

i dont know any christian that does that...unfortunatley it has become such a commercial holiday that 1) everyone loses the true meaning of christmas and 2) anyone who celebrates christmas in the way ur refering to is considered a christian when in fact many of these people arent.

the true wuestion then, would be why do you celebrate Christmas at all- since it is NOT the birthday of Jesus, it is not a God instituted holiday or feast- why have we forsaken the feasts instituted by God for His people for pagan rituals renamed.
What was wrong with God's perfect feasts that give us a perfect and complete picture of our saviour that we needed to trade them in for strange fire ?
