Yes you can play Xbox games on the Xbox 360....also if you have Xbox live for Xbox you can easily transfer it to the 360.....Yeah i love the Xbox.... :P but anyways yeah Xbox games do work on the 360.

If you get the xbox 360 that comes with the hard drive ( the one for 400 bucks. the 300 dollar one doesn't come with hardrive) then you could play some of the xbox games on the xbox 360. If you got a xbox 360 that doesn't come with the hard drive, then you could purchase one for 99.99. For the millionth time, it's yes and no.
Yes, you can play SOME XBX games on the 360.
No, you can't play ALL XBX games on the 360.
Go to www.xbox.com and do a backward compatibility search, click on the link for a list of games that are currently playable on the 360.
One more thing, you will need a hard drive if you want to play those backward compatible games on the 360.
