They like the "eye for an eye" Hammurabi philosophy. They think it's fine to lower our standards down to the level of the bad guys. First of all, that's not the American way. They don't care.
Then they call liberals out for supporting the termination of the cells that will grow into a baby before it's alive. Abortion can be necessary if a person wants to be discrete about a pregnancy or even if the woman is in a life-threatening situation.
Whatever, they just carry on their holier than thou mindset.

1.) You're demonstrating the same "holier than thou" mindset you are complaining of.

2.) Not all conservatives favor torture. Those that do have the safety of American lives in mind in higher regard than the comfort of foreign terrorist types.

3.) Those that oppose abortion do so because they favor protecting what they see as an Innocent life. Favoring the death penalty is consistent with protecting innocent life from the most heartless and brutal murderers. Both the anti abortion and pro death penalty adherents see both as protecting Innocent lives.

4.) Please remember that disagreeing with you doesn't make a conservative person "evil". That's just a scare tactic and it doesn't work. Half or more of everyone is Conservative in philosophy, even many who vote for an occasional democrat. Are half of all of us evil??

I don't care about the death penalty issue.. I would like to know why they care more about the fetus then the baby, or the mother's... if they outlawed abortions, it isn't going to make that mother care about that baby.. there would be more newborn babies thrown in dumpsters, more babies born drug addicted, more babies born with HIV, neonatal Herpes, and many other diseases, more babies born with FAS, more black market abortions- I'll take the lesser of the two evils personally- I don't want to see a newborn baby come into this world suffering and die.. and then some don't seems to care if a mother's life is at risk or if a woman is raped, or incest victims.. it's a black and white issue to them... "abortion is murder regardless of the reason" not saying all are like that but .. I don't understand how you can care so much about the fetus and so little about the newborn babies

the diff between the death penalty and abortion that's an easy one, well a person who has lived their life and choose to committe a crime against another human is sentenced to die because of their own actions, an abortion the child or what's to become a child hasn't committed a crime against anyone, yet we're gonna discard of a innocent fetus because we are selfish and careless. I think it's pretty clear on the difference. And most conservitives i know are against abortion unless it is a life threating situation or the women was raped, which doen't really make the act o.k. just more understandable

Abortion is a non issue. Republicans love non issues, they take away from the debate on real issues. They also are a effort to divide Americans by Republicans. The morning after pill makes Abortion a non issue. That pill will be sold, teens will get it on the black market. Republicans who own stock in that pill will make lots of cash. The Republican doctors who have done most abortions have made lots of cash.

Yes it seems to me that the "sanctity of life" principal only goes so far with some, and many folks don't seem to much care what happens to a person within this world.

However, I caution you "Judge not, that you be not judged.". No matter your feelings on the source for the little snippet of wisdom, I think it's worthy of consideration.

how many times do we have to explain it?! we support the deaths of murderers and rapists because life is so sared that those violating it, or defiling it must die, or else they will go on and continue killing and defling life.

what has a baby done to deserve something that you dont think a murdering rapist doesnt deserve? thats messed up dude. to think an innocent baby is deserving of death, merely on the basis of being "inconvenient", while brutal people continue raping, killing and defiling life and you think "oh well, he can be rehabilitated, he is really a good person inside"

I guess you don't know the difference between apples and oranges either. I am surprised you didn't use the label neocon, as if it were a bad thing. liberalism is a mental disorder. this question is a fine example.
