GOOD QUESTION, NOT MUCH IN THE MEDIA ABOUT MILITIAS THESE DAYS, BUT I SUSPECT THEY HAVE NOT GONE AWAY. PEOPLE ARE GETTING TIRED OF GOVERNMENT INACTION, BUT A LOT OF IT IS THE FAULT OF THE PEOPLE FOR BEING IGNORANT AND APATHETIC. PEOPLE CARE MORE ABOUT THEIR HOBBIES AND FOOTBALL THAT THE STATE OF AFFAIRS ON EARTH. AMERICANS ALWAYS WAIT UNTIL IT IS ALMOST TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT SERIOUS PROBLEMS.

It's not just the issue of the U.S. FedGov failing in its constitutional duties, but it's due to the expansion of the FedGov BEYOND its constitutional duties. War on Terror, War on Drugs, War on Porn, War on Privacy, presidential lies, PATRIOT Acts I and II, Military Commissions Act, secret arrests and kangaroo courts, out of control police, lack of checks and balances, insane levels of taxation, assaults on firearm ownership and self-defense. . . .

It's not inconceivable to think that, one of these days, someone (or a lot of someones) may decide to shoot back.
