We're planning a trip to Mexico, taking my 2 step daughters with us. We've never been anywhere in Mexico, and would like some ideas on where to go. We want an all inclusive resort that has just as much for kids and teens as they do for adults, maybe more. The other couple going with us has a baby, that will be about 1 when we go. Any ideas?

Maybe the best place for americans, are places like acapulco, cancun, mazatlan or huatulco.

Any beach in Mexico is tropical water, night life, amusement parks, and lots of places for kids, like minigolf, horse riding, etcetera.

If this is the first time, I would recommend Acapulco or Mazatlan.

Good Luck.

My suggestion is: Cancun, The hotel zone The Riu is awesome, has a lot of activities for adults and kids... Last year I took my 2 daughters who were 18 & 19. We all absolutely loved it... The Riu is across from the 28th Marktet so shopping is really awsome and handy, no cab or bus, walking distance.. Also the Riu has nightly entertainment that is suitable for all ages.. We also went to Dolphin Discovery, where the girls got to swim with the dolphins, & then I had to purchase the Video, which is really neat,, Couldn't resist... The people are really so polite and wanting to please... Waiters, maids, absolutely everyone. Also I am a travel agent would be glad to assist you, either drop me an email or check out the website... You can go to web site & click on Cancun... Guaranteed to love it!

Cancun has more activities and entertainment but the hotels are also packed in with all the others, plus they bug you about attending time-share presentations. Further down the coast in the Riviera Maya (about an hour's ride from the airport), the resorts have more room but less entertainment and NO time-share presentations. Either way the kids will keep busy with the pools and the beaches. Check www.worryfreevacations.com.

The Sunscape resorts, and the Dreams resorts, have excellent programs to keep the kids entertained. The kids will have a blast!

There is a Sunscape in Puerto Aventuras, and a Dreams in Tulum. There is little nightlife, though. The resorts will have nightly programs which aren't bad, but after that you'll just be chilling at the bar and laughing with new people that you meet. My husband and I were content with this.

Monterrey is just beneath Texas....in Nuevo Leon state...I think you´ll have lots of fun...there is the sesame street theme park, Cola de caballo falls, a great safari zoo called Bioparque estrella for your step daughters, great shopping malls, restaurants, night life for the adults.
