I asked this once before, but I have a '98 chevy cavalier LS and when i turn on the heat or anything related to the heat, a loud vibrating noise comes from the glove compartment area. The heat BARELY comes out. I was told check the fan blower or something like that, but i'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how much this is gonna cost to get fixed.

It just HAS TO BE THE FAN. There is nothing else up in that area. Maybe some stick or something is stuck in the fan (also called the squirrel cage). (Or it is slightly possible it is the blower fan resistor wire, but thats a long shot--but would be easy to replace that).

Replace the blower motor completely, with a rebuilt one (that's all they sell anyway--go to an auto parts store, NOT the dealer!!!). HOPEFULLY it will come out just from the engine compartment. That's pretty easy to do. But, if you have to take apart the dashboard, from inside the car, the job is much more difficult to do.

It definitely sounds like your fan. Check under the hood, if there are a number of bolts in the area of where the fan would be on the firewall then getting to it is fairly easy and you can probably replace it yourself. If there are none then it requires pulling a good part of the dashboard apart just to get to the area you need. Ask for a couple of estimates from your local mechanics but be sitting down when they give you the price.

appears like air in the device, in case you have radiators you may bleed the air from them making use of a radiator key, get one at a ironmongery keep, pass for the time of the radiators one after the other with a cup and rag on hand to seize extra water
