Just once I would like to move into a place that I don't have to fight the insects for control over. When I leave the problem is solved. I recently moved and I specifically asked about pest problems and the landlord said there were no bugs. I wonder how they will explain the goliath that was sitting in the bathroom sink playing solitaire when I walked in there the next morning! I could have taken that critter shoe shopping it was so huge. Any similar experiences?

You're hilarious!!! "goliath that was sitting in the bathroom sink. . ." I needed that laugh right now! Actually, I have only moved into one apartment that had a small roach issue. Thank the Lord for that! My husband moved up there first, for job issues, and was on the phone with me one night and paused before he said "Oh, I got him! There was a MOUSE running across the floor, but I think I got him!" When he went to check (I assume the room *must* have been dimly lit) he freaked when he saw the 'mouse' was actually a roach! We only saw one other one during that lease, but I was *SO* terrified that we would take them with us to our new home - that's where diligence pays off!

I don't have that problem only because the building I moved in was new at the time I moved in. I live in a nice Bach. I've been there for fourteen years now and there are no pests at all. Before I lived in a run down rooming house. The only problem I had there was mice. You could hear them going through my garbage and crawling along the sink in the middle of the night. Never did get much sleep. I have a friend with a one bdrm. When you turned on a light literally hundreds of roaches would scurry out of sight. Big and small. Grossed me out large suffice to say I didn't visit him much because he never did anything about it. Peace.

OMG! girl I moved into an apartment 3 months ago, My apartment has bugs also, but they are coming from my next door neighbor, It makes me so f ucking mad, cause I can't leave anything out, I have to put everything in zip lock bags, that's if I want it, But my neighbors are so nasty, the maintenance man had to leave, he said that he couldn't do his job, cause of the roaches and the smell. I want to go over to their house so bad and tell them to clean up their house. They manitenance guy said it was like the super bowl in their house.

You live in the South? It is a hard battle to keep the critters out of our houses. It takes someone living there and being diligent. But the landlords always just say what is expedient don't they?
