In Leesville L.A I have just moved here .And with the move and getting kids started in school i have no funds left for food for the week. Can you help me find one, Ive looked in yellow book and on the net ,the closest is lake charles its to far with little gas

check with local churches which usually have food pantries.
a church here in garland, texas is affialiated with a group called
FRIENDSHIP HOUSE.
salvation army always helps i know for people. they can even help with rent i have been told.
start with salvation army and then ask them to provide you with a list of other organizations in your own community to which you can begin checking out for food sources and utility and rent expenses, as well.

Go back to the phone book and start calling churches. They may have food pantries or know which churches do.
