99.9999% are scams and I think I'm being optimistic about the rest.

An easy way to tell, you have to pay them or buy something from them.

IF you don't have to pay for ANYTHING, including postage, it might, might be on the up and up.

Really anything you can do from home, I can pay to have done faster someplace else. Stuff envelopes, sew teddy bears, etc I can have done cheaper at anyplace that specializes in that. What can you do at home that doesn't fit into that? There might be something you can do, but I haven't seen it yet.

Most of them are not. Some site even harvest your e-mail address for scam purpose, you can expect lots of scam mail in your inbox after you signup with them. And some genuine site only give you small amount of money. There's no such easy legal way to gain lots of money. Good luck.
