For an extra credit project for my daughter. So far we came up w/only 3 (oil, water,vinegar).

If you are looking for some different liquids that will separate to form two layers, then almost anything and oil (e.g. vegetable oil) will separate, because other than oil, almost every single liquid in your house is based on water, and water and oil are not miscible (e.g. will separate). For the sakes of listing five, how about oil and water, oil and vinegar, oil and orange juice, oil and coke, and oil and windex.

There is absolutely nothing in your house that will separate into five distinct layers, although you can do that in a laboratory. It's pretty hard to do even there though.

rubbing alcohol
kerosine (or some type of lighter fluid or fuel)
acetone (nail polish remover)
