I met my hubby at a gas station....after we met we talked on the phone for hours at a time.....After a few times of seeing each other, we felt like we have met before and in time we realized we had met 2 years ago in the flea market when I was looking for tatoos....I never called him.....at the time I was not ready to settle down...I wanted to have fun......All that time had passed and GOD brought him back in my life....We also found out that we stayed directly across the street from one another all that time...
We got engaged on Valentine's Day.....He sent flowers to my job...When I got home he had another delivery, one of those air ballons w/ the teddy bear..Later that night we were to go on a local cruise, missed the boat.....Got home, he pulled out a small box which had a heart shaped pendant on the chain...Then I told him that the next time he pull out a small box, it better be a ring and he did pull out another box with a ring....I cried all night....He was going to propose to me on the private cruise island where the boat docks to eat but since we missed the boat, it was more intimate and personal.....

I was kinda dating my husbands nephew when I met him. The first time we looked in each others eyes we knew it was over and we would be together. I had never felt anything like this with any other person before. I know it sounds corny but it's true. As for the engagement there really wasn't one. We just decided to get married and went to the court house and did it. That was 9 months ago tomorrow. As for me and the nephew he understood and him and I are really good friends, and of course he tells people I am his Aunt lol.

I met my wife at a drive in movie. She was with her friends and I with mine. We noticed one another and split off from the group. The movies were a series of films lasting all night so we sat and talked all night. It was super to just talk and not feel pressured into doing anything, I think that we went so far as giving each other a tender departing kiss in the morning. We got engaged a year and a half later in the living room of her parents home. It's a grand room with high ceilings and much fancy woodwork dressed all up for the Christmas Holiday.
It was Christmas Eve and I had previously asked for her parents permission, the old fashion way. Thirty five years later as all five of our grown daughters were on hand, we were in the exact same spot and I proposed to her again and gave her a new ring set for putting up with me for so many years.

I wasnt looking for a man but my husband was introduced to me and we began dating shortly after that. he was so sweet had a job bought me a car he bought me roses and sent them to my work after having a bad day. We wernt even engaged yet. After dating for almost a year he told me he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. We talked about getting married and one day when we were shopping we went to a jewelry store and he told me to pick out the ring I liked and he got down on his knee in the store and asked me to marry him and of course I said yes. And we are still married 6 years later.

We met at the cafe I was working at. I asked him to give me a ride on his motorcycle, which was really stupid for I had my own !
He proposed soooo unromantic, one month later .... he simply said one day "Lets go down to the jewelry store and get you a ring". We did and here we are... still in hot, steamy, sexy, love after 22 years.
Not very romantic but thats how it happened.

This will disillusion you. I was avoiding a bloke and ran down a road to avoid him - couldn't stop in time to take the corner and ended up knocking two fellas over. Yes, one I started seeing and later marrying. Its still a standing joke that I picked him up out of the gutter. The proposal wasn't much better, he was drunk and still not divorced from his first wife..........Jeus, and I'm still with him - WHY????

I met my husband on line in a Yahoo! chat room. We began pm, email then talking on the phone. Met him in person a little over a month after we had met on line and he proposed to me that evening (Of course I said "No.") I flew back to his home state that following month and stayed two weeks; he flew out to see me the following month over a three day weekend, and went on three job interviews. He gave notice to his employer and moved to my state three weeks later.
We joke that we've never been on a date.
Today is our six year anniversary.

Mine put the engagement ring inside a plastic Easter egg with cotton in our picnic basket one summer and asked me to get the last egg that was in there for him. I believed him though I thought we had eatened everything. I almost threw it at him thinking there was candy inside!
