whats the difference between rising sign,moon sign,sun sign and zodiac sign??

are sunsign and zodiac sign same??

i really dont know anything about it so please be simple,clear and explain a bit.

i am acapricorn and my rising sign is leo.so how does the leo factor influence me??

The Sun sign and Zodiac Sign are the same. its just that the Zodiac sign is a term used now by many people who do not know there is multiple signs. they are your inner identity, its how you generally act, feel and see the world.

Rising Sign is your mask , it shows how you approach the world and how others see you. as for how to find it, it is the sign rising at the east at birth. it is also the cusp of the first house.

The moon sign is our Emotional sign, its how we deal with emotions and a mental place to go to feel safe

there are multiple number of signs aswell, one for each planet including pluto, a couple asteroids have been tracked astrologicly aswell, ceres, palas, chiron, lilith. and a couple other "immaginary" points like black moon lilith, the nodes. that are tracked aswell.

Your rising sign is Leo. Leo is the constellation that was rising up on the horizon when/where you were born. Rising sign has a lot with the type of person you are perceived to be by people. Some say people of the same rising sign look similar.

Astrology is a relative positioning system. First the sky is divided into twelve section relative to the constellations (I'm gonna stick with the popular European system). depending on relative position on the earth and time of year, it's usually not an even divide. Then they draw a line from your place of birth through the celestrial body, i.e. sun, moon, and determine the constellation that it would fall into.

The rising sign, or ascendant is the constellation that is just coming over the eastern plane, the descendant is 180 degrees opposite.

I've never heard the term zodiac sign used to describe any specific location on a chart before, but i would imagine they were referring to your sun sign.
