Canada, 1898. The stamp has "Xmas 1898" on it and a map of the Brtiish empire. Not very Christmasy, but it's considered the first Charistmas stamp because of the text.
The story is that someone suggested to Queen Victoria that the stamp be issued on the Prince's birthday, meaning her oldest son, later Edward VII. Victoria was not fond of her son and growled, "Which prince." The courtier made a fast recovery and said he meant "The Prince of Peace." Victoria liked the idea, and "Xmas 1898" was added to the stamps.
