i have a black and decker thats less then 2 years old.. and a GE microwave, i want to buy new ones.. but i dont know what a good brand is.. i always thought black and decker was.. and i know ge isnt, i got that as a gift.. it takes me 5 minbutes to heat ANYTHING up.. and as far as the toaster oven goes.. when i toast a waffle or something, the bottom gets burnt with it ON THE LOWEST SETTING.. and the top is still frozen.. or not toasted at all.

so whats a good brand?

i have always found that kenmore is the best appliance to buy. and they service them also.

If you're talking about oven toasters go with Rowenta or Tefal, if it's a blender then I'd go for Phillips or Kenwood. Microwaves then Sharp isn't too bad.

If you're looking for power tools, then it would have to be Bosch or Black and Decker.

There are a lot of good brands out there so don't piegon hole yourself to one paticular brand. We like to go with the "best deal"...

I would suggest brands like GE, Maytag, Whirlpool, Kennmore...Go to your local Library and look at the Consumer Reports Buyers Guide.

LG is really making good energy efficient products as well as viking,wolf good products but pricey now adays it is hard to find stuff that lasts now they are considered throw aways except for washers,dryers refrigerator's which should go for 10 years
