I don't think there is an exact answer to this question. If you're in the U.S., then "Black Friday" and the following weekend may well be the busiest Xmas shopping days. But these are not holidays outside the U.S., so different conditions apply.
Otherwise the correct answer might well depend on which day of the week Christmas Day falls, since it has been reported in the financial press that this actually makes a difference. Probably either of the two Saturdays immediately preceding Christmas Day (I'm guessing here).

There are two, the day after Thanksgiving which is called Black Friday and Christmas Eve (that is for the people that for some reason put off Christmas shopping until the last minute to do it), then complain because they can't find what they want.

I has to be Christmas Eve, I used to work in a big store on Oxford Street and it was always the busiest day in the lead up.

There are 2.......Christmas Eve because of last minute shopping and stores closing early.And black Friday because it is the beginning of Christmas shopping season and stores open so ear;y and close so late.HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!
