TWO different people replaced front seal on 1983 S10 4X4 Chevy Blazer 2.8 C.I., AND it still leaks (heavily) from that area! I don't think it's from the seal, as it was newly replaced twice. It's not from the trans fluid lines either, as the leak is coming from the seal area.

But if it's not the front seal- what else can be causing this leakage? Can a damaged pump cause leakage? The converter appears in good order, but could a faulty converter cause leakage too?

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If the converter snout is damaged or has a ruff surface it could be chewing up the seal. You would think that whom ever replaced the seal would have checked for that.

Trans is cracked around the seal area.

Bad seal, or loose bolts.
