yes! your trust has been violated by that person. you have forgiven and moved on and dont wish to be friends any more.that is o.k. if you see them just say hello and go on. im sure they realize that they hurt you.there are more friends out there who will be there for you. go on and make new friends and dont look back. but if you still want to be friends with the other person then you will have to build your trust in them again. forgiveness is good .but trust is something they will have to earn from you.

Yes. Just like in a marriage or partnership when the trust is gone so is the heart. If a friend has done you wrong and apologizes the christian thing to do is except the apology graciously but that does not mean you have to be Friends any more. Once you forgive, move on with your life, there is no need to keep the friendship intact.

Forgiveness must come from the heart first before you apologize. By forgiving that person you are showing that you are able to leave the past behind and move on with your life. It doesn't mean you'll have to stay friends with them though.

I think if someone does something that takes away your trust. You can forgive them, because you come to a realisation of what they are really like. And perhaps realise you were friends with them in the first place because you felt they were another person. Friendships should be formed slowly and without the aid of rose coloured spectacles i think.

Yes, you can forgive but you won't forget.
It's a painful thing to move on from a "friend". Friends make your life go round.
But yes, you can forgive but move on.
