Furthermore, it compresses files into a size so you can subsequently save them onto a DVD-R if you want to. Once you have the folder on your PC, you can go into Windows Explorer, right-click on the root folder and choose to watch the contents with your usual DVD player software.

You could use DVD burning software to save them to a hard-drive, but it will take up immense amounts of disk space. I would NOT suggest this on your average computer. Unless you want to go out and buy a 1TB (terabyte) portable disk drive, you really have no option for saving DVDs on your computer.

well..if u're gonna save the dvd files on ure computer...that means u're gonna need lost of space coz a single DVD holds 5gb..
if u have the right software..u can save the files and play them on ure computer..yes..u can still save on to the comp without any additional software but it might not b able to play...coz of the file format..(unless the player ure gona b usin is compatible with the dvd format u copied onto ure computer)

There are DVD ripper softwares available.I suppose you
save to your pc that way Otherwise also DVD to VCD
coversion softwares are available .Through them you
can save to your pc

yes you can it's just going to take up alot of space on your hard drive unless you zip the files with something like winzip a downloadable program that is easy to use.
