well your problem could be that maybe when you all are around each other, you may feel like if you say something to her, she will think that you are uncool dork and she may think and feel the same way about you.... that could be what's goin' on and you may not know it , just sit down with her and talk about boys and ask her what she thinks of you and you tell her what you really think of her.... nothing can go wrong but her say that you shouldn't think of her that way, if she says something about the ways that you should or shouldn't feel, if she says something like that to you, she can't be your true best friends, a true best friend respects the others' thoughts and feeling inside. good luck to you!!!

With best friends silences are never awkward, but are just the gaps between your conversation. If you have nothing to say it is best to be quiet and enjoy their company. Maybe if you really like each other you can find out what each other is interested in and share that interest. Else there are more people out there with whom you can be friends with. Strangers are friends who you have not met yet. I believe that. Really.

u two are friends but not best, silence is okay but not if its awkward, but talking more to friends doesnt make them ur better friend cuz it means u still hav 2 tell them everything, i hav one best friend and other good ones and find that i talk more to my good ones when im aroung them then to my best friend cuz we hav nothin left to tell each other cuz we already no everythin about each other and there is nothin wrong (again) with silence, that can b a good thing, jelousy isnt tho, if they r insecure enough to think that u r goin to get a better friend then them and they dont do anythin different then somethin is wrong so ask her y she get jelous cuz she might not really be jelous

It sounds like you two are leaning more towards friends, not acting enough like you're together. Talk with him. Ask him if he'd rather be in a relationship or just be friends.
