Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Hillary Clinton, Ronald Reagan, or just about any politician since Roosevelt. Kennedy was the best at it. He accomplished absolutely nothing in his term and his people convinced the world that he was this great man. He was a nothing. His father was a rich man who bought the 1960 election for him. But even further back, Abraham Lincoln convinced the nation that he was fighting for the national interest, when it was for his personal agrandizement. He got it in all of the papers how he was working to save the union.

Rupert Murdoch...probably the politically influential man in the world who isnt actually a politician by profession. When you own so much of the world's media, you can get your opinion heard very easily.

FDR is probably the most influential because of his daily fireside chats. He was the first president to make weekly speeches and fully related to the american public. JFK was also very influential by being involved int he first televised debate between he and nixon. Even tho nixon technically won, JFK used tv to "promote" he age and youthfulness. Hope that helped
