I don't know what it means, but I think it comes from the African nation of Benin. That's where that actor Djimon Honsou (spelling?) is from. I lived in Benin for two years and all names do mean something there.

Do you mean "Digimon"? If you do, then I'm pretty sure it means "Digital Monsters", just like Pokemon means "Pocket Monsters".
P.S. I don't like either, I'm just saying what they mean
