What are the best brands (Ipod, Scandisk...) and features (Fm Tuner, Voice recorder....) of MP3 Players?

I am getting an MP3 player for Christmas, and I wanted to know what are the best brands, for example: Ipod, Scandisk, Vtech, are the best for and MP3 player. I also want to know what are the best features in an MP3 PLayer. For example, is it better to get a 2GB with FM Tuner and Voice Recorder with rechargabe battery, or a 1GB with video and photo compatible with no rechargeable battery. What's the best MP3 player you can buy, basically. And can you also define this terms:

Voice Recorder (If it's in an MP3 Player, does it actually record your voice?)

Fm Tuner

And how can you tell if it has rechargeable battery? Does it actually have to say "rechargeable" on the pack, or does it say something else?

I know it's alot to ask for, but it would really help me. And you get 10 points =). Thanks a million. Tell me anything you know.

For the best brand, anything but Ipod. I know Ipod is the best, but I really want to know what is the second best. Ipod is a bit over the money limit.

I believe the best brand mp3 player is Creative Labs. The 2GB Zen V Plus features music, fm radio(tuner), photos, voice recording, and videos. it also has a rechargeable battery(it tells you that in the info). It costs $139.
the voice recorder option works by pressing a button and simply talking into it. it records what you're saying! you can also use it for recording lectures in college or whatnot.
the fm tuner allows you to listen to the radio, and get the good stations!

All batteries are rechargable, but you probably want to know if they are REMOVABLE, or REPLACABLE.
Batteries that are removable or replacable are great features, but not completely necessary if you have an mp3 with good battery.
You can usually find out if they are removable or replacable on their company's specifications (specs) list.
If you want FM Tuner, Voice Recorder, music, photo, and video capability, you can actually get them in one player!

You can check if the mp3 player records voice straight from the mp3 player or from a device. If it records from a device, it will usually say "Line-In Recording", but usually, the mp3 player records on its on.

FM Tuner means FM radio where you can search for stations from the mp3.
