You'll need to start wearing makeup at 12 or 13, not 11. And DATING, goodness, that's another story. My mother wouldn't let me date until I was 15. Seeing that I've only been dating for 2 years, you see my point.

I hate to say it, but yes. 11 is waaay too young to date and wear makeup. The majority of girls are allowed to wear makeup in 7th grade. I was only allowed to wear lipgloss or chapstick when I was your age and many girls would agree with me. I'm 16 now, and allowed to wear any makeup I please, but you're 11 and young and probably have perfect skin so you don't need makeup. The only reason I wear makeup is because I get the occasional zit once in a while and have to cover it up. Now for the dating part of your problem...I'd say it's alright to have a 'boyfriend' at your age. Just not a serious boyfriend. At your age, the typical boyfriend-girlfriend relationship stayed at school. Couples didn't really "date". They just hung out at recess and ate together at lunch basically. Nothing really happend outside of school. I thought that was pretty dumb so I waited to get a boyfriend until we could actually go places outside of school. Around the end of 9th grade and 10th grade is a good time to have a boyfriend because you don't want your parents driving you around and by the end of 10th grade is when most people can get their driver's license. So for now, ignore the makeup. You don't need it. You're young and beautiful. Enjoy it while you can. And for the boyfriend situation...go for it. Just keep in mind it's probably not going to last over a month at your age.

Yes, I think so. You're not a teenager yet, too young to date, and wearing makeup will make you look 16. Wait until you're at least 13 before dating and wearing makeup. It seems like a long time away, but don't try to grow up too fast! You only get to be a kid once.

I believe 11 years old is a young age to start dating and wearing make-up. I was not allowed to start wearing make-up or date until i was 15 years old(Freshman in high school).

You have some good answers here. I'd say gloss is fine for your age, but any more is too much too soon. Dating? Absolutely not. As is stated above, dating is to look for someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, and you're much too young to know what you want yet.
In dating situations you can find yourself in some pretty tough situations too, now you wouldn't know how to handle it because of your age. Too many situations come up when you're out with someone, your age and maturity aren't there yet to be able to handle them.

depends on what your definition of "date" is. dating to some people would be doing sexual activities while some dating is just going out to movies and grab a slice of pizza. 11-year-olds are probably just "dating" as a reputation.
rules should be set up by the parents as to where they are going and who they are going with. taken that 11-year-olds can't drive yet, i think it is okay to let them date as long as you can an eye as to what they are doing.
makeup can be wore but not too dramatic. they don't need to wear foundations or anything. just a little blush and mascara will bring out their natural beauty since they are 11-year-old little angels! they just have the perfect skin.
its okay to wear makeup for 11, but do let them know that makeup can also ruin their skin in the longrun. watch out for the brand they use and how often they use and the cleaning of their skin.

ask yourself why do you want to date in the first place? What is the whole idea behind dating? to find a mate? for what? At 11 yrs old, why do you need a mate? You should be back playing with your barbie dolls. Children dont have enough life experiences and mature brain function to know how to deal with life situations.. You arent anywhere near maturity till (at the very least, 18yrs old).. why do you think voting, drinking, and driving isnt allowed till 18?... .. Also who is this "boy" who would be willing to "date" you? for what?.. If you just want a friend, have friends,, play, go to movies, games, etc.. but not a romantic friendship.. you need to worry about growing up some more..

yes, because you will look like a silly little girl with make up on, much better to wait a few years, and boyfriends at 11 are just friends like your girl friends, you have loads of time when you are say over 17 for all that stuff, enjoy being 11 now.
