I have the Lucky Shopping Manual. This is a good book but I still find myself unable to figure out what to buy and how to put different pieces of clothing together.

The Lucky book tells you, for instance, how a sweater should fit and how many (of varying types) you should own based on your lifestyle. Yet, I'll buy a sweater and not know how to put it together with other pieces. I'll just wear it with the same jeans that I wear all the time. I still don't know how to jazz things up a bit. I guess that "extra something" is not something that can be taught??? What are some other practical books on this subject?

I read magazines and I find that they aren't helpful because the clothes aren't very practical and the magazines don't go in depth on how to dress everyday.

I for some reason am assuming you maybe in America, so you may not have heard of 'Trinny & Susannah' over here in the UK but they are style gurus, just google their names and it should hopefully give you a list of books they have covered on fashion style. Or there is always Victoria Beckhams book !

There is only one book that I have read, which can actually teach you how to be fashionable. It just makes it so easy, you can hardly help yourself from looking better.
The really nice thing about this book is that it teaches you how to be stylish, while still having your own "look". You can get it here. http://www.amazon.com/Pocket-Stylist-Behind-Scenes-Expertise/dp/1592400418/sr=1-4/qid=1165410681/ref=sr_1_4/102-2826545-6885762?ie=UTF8&s=booksinsuranceforu-20
