Download the latest msn (if you dont have it) run that and windows messenger which is installed by default to windows xp, if you have removed this you can install it from the xp cd.

With this solution you do not need to download any add-ons to your pc ( most of which contain adware to support the development cost )

As far as I know, you cant.

there is a program called trillian which is like yahoo messenger, msn messenger (well any messenger program).
I havent tried to log 2 people in at the same time, but i have heard that you have.

download Trillian @ this site: http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/

YOU CAN!!!!!

Now, there are 2 options!!!

1. Install Msn Messenger Plus (it is an unofficial addon, go through the settings and turn on "Enable multiple accounts to login" or you might need to download the patch that allows you to do that. Then you just click the msn icon again to open annother messenger!

If you go for Option 1, be careful not to install their partner software and read when you are going through the installation.

2. This is a simpler method, either you or your mum login to Windows/MSN Messenger and the other aMSN:

This allows you to send multiple nudges to people and not allow any back ;) Just a little joke if you like to nudge people ;).

I like aMSN and it runs on Linux, Mac and FreeBSD aswell as Microsoft Windows (so you cant complain).

Enjoy!!!

You can have Yahoo Messenger and MSN running at the same time, that new yahoo one lets you talk to people on MSN so maybe you could do it that way...

What you can do is have seperate Windows profiles for each of you and just switch between them when you need to change to your MSN Messenger. I haven't tryed this but in theory it should work.

I don't think you can, not on the same computer at the same time, sorry. Get a really basic pc or laptop (i.e. from Freecycle.org) and set up a little home network so you can sit side by side but on separate computers and that'll work :)

Actually, that's true, I have two different versions on my computer but I'm not sure the older one works properly. Worth I try though.
