I need auto Transmission Fluid for my Mitsu Outlander. Question...?

It says to use Mitsu Gen ATF SPIII fluid. Can I just use the same type of fluid that goes in Chevys/Fords? Dextron or Type F? If so, which one?

call dealer and ask..or go to advance auto zone or O Reilly they know.
