There is no law that says you HAVE to kiss when under the mistletoe. If it were a stranger I would decline. If it were a close friend I would go for a kiss on the cheek.

You talk like mistletoe has some magical powers that humans cannot counteract. It's not kryptonite for god's sake.
What you do is, you walk away without pecking, smooching, kissing, or tongue wrestling the other person who is not your spouse. Because, Virginia, mistletoe has no *real* power over people.
For christ's sake how hard was that? If it's difficult, then you *want* to kiss that other person, and the problem is inside you, not emanating from the amazing mistletoe.

just a kiss on the cheek should do. and if it really bothers you tell your spouse about it if he/she is understanding then all is well along as it doesnt go any further than a cheek kiss.

I would ask where she lives so I could drop off all his stuff. He clearly made a choice and it is clear where his loyalty is (not with the wife).
