When I open my Sky + planner, the first item on there says FAILED. The details of the programme show that it has no programme name, but it says that it was from BBC1.

Since this has been on, my planner has been functioning slowly. I have tried to delete the problem programme but it will not delete, and when I have tried the system has frozen and I have to unplug the box.

I have an AMSTRAD box.

Does anyone know what this might be and how to solve it? I havent yet rang sky as on previous occasions their helplines have been anything but helpful, so that will be a last resort.

I have also tried a planner rebuild after a search on this forum.

Thanks in advance

Discovered how to do a system reset on my Sky+ box which seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks.

I've also had similar problems with sky plus. In mycase the box was no good after 2 years (so the engineer said) they came and replaced the box think it was £35.00 but customer services are rubbish they keep you holding on forever at premium rates. A friend of mine told me to phone the disney channel number and ask to be transfered because it doesn't cost anything. Haven't had to try it yet. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Unfortunately it happened to my SKY+ box as well.
As a Microsoft Certified System Engineer I can advise you to open the box-take out the hard drive-reformat it on any other computer-put it back-update your software on sky BOX.
But this is only if you know exactly what you are doing. ;)
Since SKY using this AMSTRAD prototype boxes it has many faults. Your fault lies somewhere in temporarily file corruption buffer. Also there is no solution for it in computer society for today, reformating can help.
But if it is on warranty they should change it with no questions asked. it is written in their contract. And SKY phone number is free as I remember.
