All you who and the British media who wrote off our cricketers after the first test where are you now? I said the boys would come back and they have. We lost the first test in England and came back. Possibly we will not win this current test as the pitch is so batsman friendly but if we can take early wickets we can give them a score to chase on the last day. My personal feeling is that if Montie was bowling and not Ashley then we would have a better chance. You all knock Montie for his fielding but Ashley's dropped catch off Hoggie was about the worst piece of fielding I have seen for a long time. You don't give a player of Ricky Pontings ability a second chance and it was only a superb spell of bowling by Hoggie that got us back into the game. Come on England and let's all get behind them. We can keep the ashes if our boys are given the backing and the confidence of the country and the media. So no more negative thoughts. Come on England!!

I think I just spotted one of those Thomasses - grinning over a small urn full of dust!

I dont think even Monty could have made much impact as Warne, who is the best spin bowler has suffered in the 2nd test.
Time alone can prove how England can come back in the series. One thing for certain, after loosing the first test and second test is heading for draw, England's chances of winning the series are very remote.

i agree that england have played well in this match. i also think monty shouldve played, good point about the dropped catch. for us aussies though, Hayden and Lee should be replaced by Phil Jacques and MacGill and we will win the ashes back. atm, i think this test will be drawn, even with a declaration, and much then depends on the next test, and the all importnat toss. if aussies won toss in this match, i think england wouldve lost.

The Poms have done well so far......only a matter of time before they crash and burn! This is OUR hallowed turf, and the ashes are set to stay!
