One of the earliest successful transplants made was a human tooth grafted on to the comb on the head of a cockerel. The heads of a couple of these birds are preserved in the museum.

As has already been pointed out - NO categorically no bird has teeth. They all descended from an ancestor which had lost its teeth under evolutionary pressure to be light, and beaks are lighter than a bony jaw full of teeth.

If you go back far enough in time there are 'birds' that have teeth. Archaeopteryx which people often call the first bird it had teeth and no beak at all. The problem is there is no line clearly dividing where that branch of dinosaurs became birds.

I think your friend was just playing a joke on you. Feel free to tell him that many birds had teeth. Just none of those species survived to this day.

Chickens don't have teeth instead they have a hard incisive beak which breaks down food before enzymes aid it in its digestion. Although the beak is tough and hard, I don't think it is capable of inflicting such damage.

I don't know but your question is as rare as hens teeth. Tell your mate to leave the practical jokes until April 1st..or he might just think that you are thick!
