There's a product called Doggonit. It has an enzyme that breaks down uric acid. You spray it on a spot when you first see it forming and then sprinlke it with water. The grass recovers very quickly.

You normally don't have to spray every spot a dog urinates--only when the uric acid concentration of the urine is high. It helps to give the dog more water to drink (if he/she will drink it). That makes the urine less concentrated and less likely to cause a problem.
