Without question! And they can feel physically young also depending on how well they have taken care of themselves.

A lot of young people actually believe it really makes no difference what they do because they can always bounce back. This is not true. What we do while we are young will effect what we will be when older. If we smoke....drink....take drugs....couldn't care less about exercise...and eat all the wrong things we will pay for it later.

There are many people at age 50 that have lived a tough life and they look it. While some is out of their control most is not.

Heredity plays a part but not nearly as much as life style.

Can we do things at 50 that we did at 20. No. But the great part of it is we don't want to. At 50 we are truly in the mental part of our lives.

Some words are used to appear smart and witty and this is one of them. What the heck is mental age? Old or young? Here is the answer:

mental age
n. Abbr. MA
A measure of mental development as determined by intelligence tests, generally restricted to children and persons with intellectual impairment and expressed as the age at which that level of development is typically attained.

By that definition a mentally retarded person can be mentally young.

Most people use that phrase(Mentally young) to mean that they are enthusiastic and curious like a child. Yes that is possible too.

So it depends on what you mean by Mentally young. Please use the words after knowing the meaning.

Well, mentally young can mean immature.
If it's sense of humour, and optimism you want, then yes, of course. And some men never really think and grow up, so, sure.
But many have gone through enough of life to have become the kind of man to be able to handle life better. So, after all of that light-hearted stuff, you can count on them to get serious when need be.
I love that.

If you mean you are a 50 year old man and want to date a 19 year old woman then, no, that means you are a borderline pedophile. Grow up Grandpa, act your age.

yes, why not. Remember when you were young? you like to grow fast for not to take any orders from your elders but when you started to work and carry on responsibilities, howd you wish to become a child again to take off this responsibilities; but life's responsibilities are harder. When the person reach its golden age, responsibilities gradually lessen; health, work, activities, and days for them are numbered, so they make their time worthwhile by being young again and just like a child who has a lot of time to spend in their own spare time; playing, joking, telling stories and the like, etc...........and thats my friend is " LIFE ".

Yes, it depends who is around them to keep them young. My father is 52 and my son keeps him in a young state of mind. Having young people around older keeps them young. Youth around the old keeps them old young and the young wise.
