Scrooge is aware it is Christmas Eve. No one actually tells him.
When Scrooge is leaving Cratchit asked for 'tomorrow off.' There is a passage that talks about ti being customary for that day to be taken off with pay.
Scrooge answers that 'It is a poor excuse for picking a man's pocket every 25th of December' thus implying that it is the 24th.

In his journey with the Ghost of Christmas Past, old Ebenezer Scrooge visited the warehouse where he had been an apprentice with Dick Wilkins. Scrooge was watching and listening when his former employer, Old Fezziwig, called out, "Christmas Eve, Dick! Christmas, Ebenezer!" as the two apprentices hurried about, setting up the warehouse for the holiday party to follow.
