The baby has lots of room to move around right now, and laying on you stomach will not harm him/her. As long as it is comfortable for you, your baby will be fine. He/she has a soft cusion of water surrounding it's body to protect it.

lol, if the way we lay could kill or harm the baby our species would never survive.

No, so long as you're comfortable you're fine. Eventually you will get uncomfy, not the baby. It will make your uterus and tendons sore. He's in a bubble of water and doesnt get squished like that.

Talk to your doctor about how you lay. Eventually on your left side will become the most comfortable position. But belly and back sleeping will by no means harm the baby. Although eventually it will make you uncomfy and cause limbs to fall asleep.

Iam a back sleeper and freaked out over depriving my baby of oxyginated blood. Three doctors countless books, and many nurses later, i learned that back sleeping is safe, though uncomfy. You wake up and roll over because you legs fall asleep. Problem solved.

No honey. Mother nature has so beautifully made a woman's body that there is nothing in the realm of normal positions that could hurt your babyy. Think of your uterus as a heavy vinyl balloon filled with water, imagine a small object inside that balloon. Do you begin to get the idea of how hard it would be to hurt whatever is in that balloon? Your baby is safe and believe me when it starts to feel like you are lying on a bowling ball, you will quit lying on your tummy!
Love and Blessings to you and your sweet new baby! Have fun and enjoy all the magick that is ahead of you!
Feel free to write to me if you have any more questions! I will respond....this is what I do.

Depends on the stage in your pregnancy, in the very beginning, no,won't hurt the baby, but will start to be painful for you. If later in pregnancy, yes it can hurt the baby, and you. Go fill a baloon up with water, then lay on it and see what happens??? THat is basically what your baby is in, in you....a sack filled with liquid Only we call it an amnoitic sac, and amniotic fluid. I think you asked the questions about aspirin and nyquil too, hun please do that poor baby a favor and do some research! I am writting a preggie book, you may wanna check out my blog:(http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus... In my book I talk about many things that doctors neglect to cover with expectant mothers. Hope some of that info is helpful!

It depends as to how far along you are... If you are within the first trimester then it will be fine, but after the baby gets bigger and it will be better for you to sleep on your side, DON'T sleep on your back. that may cause the baby tomeve around and it may get the chord raped around the neck.

I slept on my stomach all through my last pregnancy.....from day one up until the night I went into labour. My baby is perfect....didn't harm her in any way.

no not until you are like 5-6 months should you really worry about that, I laid on my belly til I was 7 months, I was still comfortable that way, but had to stop. My baby girl came out great. :D

I think it is better not to lay on your stomach whilst pregnant. I used to prop myself up on a pillow or two and lay on my side; that worked.
