You can skip a period and not be pregnant. It doesnt mean anything.

WAit a week and go get blood work done.

Chances are you're not pregnant.

Your period actually is triggered by ovulation.

When you ovulate, the follicle that matured and released the egg turns into something called the corpus luteum which releases progesterone into your blood. Your uterine lining thickens, gets fluffy, and prepares for a fertilized egg.

The corpus luteum dies anywhere from 10-14 days after ovulation, thus causing the progesterone in your body to drop, triggering menstruation.

So you see, your period may not be "late", but your ovulation probably was.

If you are still showing a negative pregnancy test, you may have ovulated late--or you could still be waiting to ovulate! You could also have an anovulatory cycle which happens from time to time to most women.

You could also be pregnant if you had intercourse at the time of ovulation, but the chances of a pregnancy being viable from a delayed ovulation decreases as the egg quality may also decrease.

If you want to get pregnant, I would sign up with the website posted below, as I was pregnant within 2 months of charting after not preventing for a little over 2 years. Good luck!

**I don't think it's necessary to go to a doctor yet, as it may be a waste of money. I ran off to the doctor the first time I had a delayed ovulation and it was a huge waste of time and money since the only think "wrong" was that I ovulated late. If your breasts hurt, chances are you ovulated already as that is a symptom of progesterone in your body.

Sadly, many of the symptoms caused in your "luteal phase" of your cycle are similar to those of early pregnancy.

Take another test or ask the doctor for a blood test. I took 18 HPT and they all came out negative. Then I asked for a blood test. It came back borderline so 2 days later I went in for a second blood test. It came back positive. I only had the sore boobs and heightened sense of smell. Good luck

Are you on the pill? that would want to have something to do with it. i change into on a pill for numerous months with my era consistently coming near time each month. Then one month i change into per week previous due and freaking out. I took a being pregnant try even if it got here out unfavourable. I went to my regular practitioner and took a blood try which change into unfavourable as well. I thoroughly skipped my era that month although. I were given my era the subsequent month as in line with time-honored. each so often it purely takes position. My era afterwards although purely lasted below an afternoon. it type of feels i visit purely get a era once the different month. i'd take a blood try purely to make effective if you're apprehensive.

The test's can be wrong, but things like stress can cause all those type of symptoms. Check at the doctors to be sure though.
