Technology is a double edged sword. It can be used to facilitate and accelerate destruction and can be used to facilitate and accelerate positive change. I am looking for the most positive use of technology in the world today.

Sattelites orbiting the earth detect storms far in advance saving lives and reducing crop damage.

An unbelievable number of medical breakthroughs save lives every day.

Insulation and sealants are all technical breakthroughs. They save energy by reducing cold or hot air entering your house. They seal your refrigerator and freezer, both of which are technical advances.

The list goes on forever. A better question might be "What are the unethical uses of technology?" The answer would be simpler

Farmers use technology to improve their crops, and create other crops that are able to grow in areas of the world where conditions are very poor. Hence, technology is being used to help feed the poorest countries, therefore saving lives. And Yes, once again, it is America leading the way!

In Nano technology. i think this container has lots to grant yet that debris that is produced are so small can all the via product be contained. super brother watching each thing. this could be a genuine subject in a totalitarian state.

The medical field. I think technology has really changed the way we save lives and prolong it, for the better of course :)
