I totally agree with you--bring back the original MTV shows. I remember running home from school to watch the afternoon program. That was a great show and can not compare with the garabage that is being shown today. I also "want my MTV"!!!!!

I totally agree with you. When I was younger MTV was MUSIC VIDEOs... not a bunch of commercial and crappy shows. It's changed dramatically in ten years I must say. I used to watch it a lot, now cant stand to look at it most times. The other MTV channels are ok I guess- but they should have left the videos on the original station.
However, I dont like the idea of seeing all the old videos since the beginning. There are so many new ones out there. Yes, they should make an MTV Classic like VH1 has.

Oh my gosh, I miss MTV when it first came out! They actually played the music and had the cool VJ's. I'd love to see them do a classic MTV. I'd watch it!

Thanks for getting "Money for Nothing" stuck in my head (Sting doing "I want my MTV")

They'd probably make it all overrated like what they did with all the pop and rap. You really don't want MTV to spoil one of the only unspoiled genres left in music not to mention some of the actual original stuff we have left. Back in those days music wasn't copied by other artists or sampled, it all came from innovation and creativity.
