LISTEN VERY CLOSE! If the lights are glowing orange it means there is a voltage drop. The most common cause of this is a low impedance short. {think, toaster} It is probably due to a loose neutral wire. CALL AN ELECTRICIAN! This situation will cause a hot spot without tripping a breaker. { again think; hairdryer, oven, toaster}. I know we are expensive...but so is your house.

Before I wired my basement, complete with a slew of 3 way switches I bought a relatively thin 8x11 paperback with electrical schematics in it that covered all legal wiring possibilities for 3 and 4 way switches.

Menards, Home Depot, & Lowes would have these.

I have also included an on line link below. If you only have one to do you may find what you need here.

Go to Menards or Home Depot, they have a display of how to do things in wiring. It is hard to draw you a schematic on here. You will need to buy the parts anyway just look when you are in the store.
